Surgery went well and I am back home. I am pleased to say that the staff in the recovery center were very attentive to my needs and with my food from home, I was never worried about cross contamination.
They put barcoded medical labels on all of my tupperware containers and kept them in a fridge at the nurses station. This made them become medical items. Only nursing staff were permitted to touch them. They had to be scanned in, just like prescriptions would be. It was completely awesome.
I'm a bit tired now, but I just wanted to say that all is well. I have a long road of healing ahead of me. Now I just have to worry about my caretakers (who are not Gluten Free) keeping the kitchen clean and cooking meals for me.
